A local lawn company quoted us $15k to build a pergola which is 🤮 so we built it ourselves for 1/3 that. And it’s even better than they would have done IMO with a more modern shape and the sun shades. If you’re doing it yourself just make sure to have a few (the more the merrier) strong friends to help.

The added towel hooks are great for drying out towels and suits and we have some deck boxes tucked away close by for pool storage and emergency cushion storage for storms.

Three things is back and in the laundry room this time! Here are my tips:

✔️ Use a basket to contain returns or items that are waiting for action (to put away, gift, or donate) to keep it from from spreading over the whole space (ask me how I know 🙈)

✔️ Magnetic storage containers are great for utilizing the little pockets of space around your machines.

✔️ Use the walls and doors! I keep things out of the way with a door drying rack, hanging iron & ironing board organizer, and hooks for cleaning supplies.

We built a pergola!

You know where to find me this summer, except when it’s 100 degrees because that’s still too hot, even in the shade 🥵. There’s one more project out here for this year and then maybe one more next year and then done?! We’ve been slowly chipping away at it for 12 years and it’s so so close. Everything I used to style it is linked in LTK except for the lounge chairs - they are early 2010’s Sam’s Club.

Well, sometimes things work and sometimes they don’t 🤷‍♀️

Yesterday I replaced the previous bin/hooks that had fallen off the door with much lighter options. Hopefully this one sticks (pun intended).

Today we’re working on the Bins Backyard phase 632. We’ve been chipping away at this thing for yearsssss and there is finally an end in sight. And it’s a great view 😎.

Is every space or type of item this easy? No. But when and where you can focus on only what you need, love and use, it’s amazing how good the extra breathing room can feel.
