Are you new to organizing? When you’re just starting to organize it can often feel overwhelming. I recommend diving in with paper organization. It’s the one thing you can rely on to keep entering your home no matter what – mail, receipts, school forms, kids art, notes, manuals – you get the idea.
By setting up a system that works for you and getting into some good habits you can eliminate the piles, missed bills, and lost instructions. But more importantly, paper often holds really valuable life information! Wouldn’t it be nice to know exactly where that info is?
If you answered yes you’re in luck because I’m sharing my 3 favorite products for paper organization.
Magazine File

Magazine files aren’t just for magazines! They are a great way to group and store papers that need to be accessed regularly. I use them for magazines & catalogs waiting to be read, current project files, notebooks (I love to take notes with pen and paper), and to-do items. My favorite affordable magazine files are the Ikea PLUGGIS. They are made from a hard plastic instead of cardboard like many others. They’re also on the slim side which keeps loose sheets from disappearing inside.
Magnetic Bin

If you’ve been following me on social media for a minute or a regular reader of the blog then you’ll recognize these Perch Magnetic Bins {affiliate link}. Stick them anywhere alone or with the wall mountable magnetic plates for a clean and tidy drop spot. I use them in our command center for kids school papers and have one on my fridge to keep papers that need to be moved to our office for filing or shredding.
File Box

While not everyone has a need or space for a dedicated home office, we still need a place to store vital papers. I like these file totes {affiliate link} because they are portable, stackable, and keep documents safe from the elements.
