We’re back for another family picnic movie night and this month we watched the new Cruella. I’m kinda liking these Disney villain backstories. It was a bit on the long side but done really well. Did anyone else notice the Anita tie-in (you know, the woman from 101 Dalmatians)?
If you’re new around here, there is always a themed meal to go with our movie selection. This month was no exception! Let’s take a look at the Cruella inspired menu.

Black & White Pasta
The theme for this meal was black and white, which should surprise no one, and these noodles screamed Cruella. For a less expensive option try dying half of your noodles black to mix with the regular white noodles for a similar effect.
Cruella Roll-Ups
These are pretty subtle, but we needed some other food groups for this meal. I used sun-dried tomato tortillas inspired by Cruella’s love of red lipstick. Then rolled is with cream cheese, thin sliced provolone, and roast beef to get the black and white.
Deville Jello
To get the black color I added a little extra food coloring to some grape jello. Then topped it with a bit of whipped cream and blackberry on top.
Homemade Oreos
When you think of black and white deserts, oreos are the first thing that come to mind. If you have the time, the homemade version are devilishly good. The cookie part is made from devils food cake mix sandwiched with a cream cheese frosting.
Striped Popcorn
Finally, you can’t watch a movie without popcorn! I grabbed these striped popcorn boxes online and filled them with chocolate drizzled popcorn.
